Homes may replace golf clubhouse

The clubhouse and tennis courts of the Palm Beach Polo Golf & Country Club in Wellington could be demolished and replaced by homes.

New York-based Farrell Building Co. has the 9.4-acre clubhouse site at 11198 Polo Club Road and the 23-acre site at 11153 Polo Club Road under contract from Palm Beach Polo Inc., managed by Glenn Straub. They would be developed with 14 and 27 single-family homes, respectively.

Sunbeam plans 12.9-acre project in North Bay Village

Sunbeam Properties, the owner of WSVN (Channel 7), has proposed a 7.3 million-square-foot mixed-use development in North Bay Village.

The special area plan would cover 12.9 acres, including 1400-1601 79th Street Causeway, all owned by the billionaire Ansin family.

To accommodate the development, WSVN would reduce its North Bay Village presence into a smaller, satellite studio within the mixed-use project. Sunbeam Television is searching for a site outside of North Bay Village to build a new main studio and corporate offices.

Sunbeam Properties would build 1,936 residential units, including 117 units of workforce housing; 870,000 square feet of office/retail space; a 112,500-square-foot hotel with about 300 rooms; and about 5,000 parking spaces. There would also be 84,366 square feet of civic space, including a half-mile “island walk” pedestrian path along the north side of the island lined by restaurants and shops. The project would include a marina, as well.

Developers have Coconut Creek site under contract

GSR Partners, a partnership of Rosemurgy Properties, Giles Capital Group, Schmier Property Group and 13th Floor Investments, has 157 acres under contract in Coconut Creek.

The developers filed three site plans for the next phases of MainStreet at Coconut Creek, located at Lyons Road and Wiles Road. They would have a combined 472 apartments, 194 townhouses and 56 villas. Amenities would include a clubhouse and a pool.

Town center proposed in Miami Gardens

Miami Gardens Town Center LLC, a partnership of Faith Group, Immocorp Capital and Azur Equities, filed plans for a mixed-use project near Hard Rock Stadium.

Plans for the 35-acre site at 19199 N.W. 27th Ave. call for 720 apartments; 270 hotel rooms; 234,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space; and two 800-space parking garages. Kushner Cos. would partner on the multifamily portion.

Trinsic Residential could build apartments in Fort Lauderdale

Trinsic Residential Group could build an apartment complex next to the Westin Fort Lauderdale hotel.

The Dallas-based developer has part of the property at 400 Corporate Drive under contract from PFL VII LLC. It’s seeking a land use change that would allow 340 apartments and a shared parking garage. The preliminary site plan for Aura Cypress Creek shows a pool, summer kitchen and coworking space.

Miami-Dade seeks partner for massive project

Miami-Dade County officials are seeking development partners for one of the largest public-private partnership opportunities in the region: the redevelopment of its Government Center campus.
