Sprouts Farmers Market Continues Its Florida Expansion
Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market is continuing its expansion in the Sunshine State as it finishes construction on its newest store at 1800 NE Pine Island in Cape Coral, Florida.
The store is scheduled to open Oct. 7, at 7 a.m., but beginning this Friday, a virtual management hiring event will take place followed by an in-person team member hiring event on Aug. 23.
The healthy grocer’s new location is bringing approximately 100 full- and part-time career opportunities to the area, Sprouts said in a statement. Candidates may apply online in advance here.
Employment opportunities include department managers, assistant department managers, clerks, cashiers, courtesy clerks, back-up receiver, administrative coordinators and scan coordinators.
“Sprouts’ healthy approach to grocery shopping means potential team members should share a passion for the fresh, natural and organic products offered throughout the store,” the natural-and-organic grocer said in a statement.
Sprouts last week reported strong second-quarter sales, with net sales of $1.6 billion—a 5% increase from the same period in 2021.
“We are relatively pleased with our financial performance year to date and continue to be encouraged by another quarter of positive traffic,” said Sprouts’ CFO Chip Molloy in a statement. “We are cautiously optimistic that we can continue to successfully navigate the remainder of the year during these highly inflationary times while simultaneously pushing forward with our long-term strategy, which is supported by our strong cash generation.”
The natural foods retailer recently opened its 32nd store in Florida as part of its expansion in the Sunshine State.
Sprouts Farmers Market employs 31,000 associates nationwide and operates 379 stores in 23 states. This year the grocer celebrates its 20th anniversary.
